On
Hiring Wedding Vendors:
If you haven't experienced your vendors personally, don't
be afraid to ask for references. You have every right
to ask for a sample to taste-test, or to see recent examples
of their work, or to ask to observe them working on location
at another wedding. You are spending a lot of money for
photography, music, food, cake and flowers, and you should
have a very clear idea of how you will be taken care of.
Please feel free to ask me about other vendors. The ones
that I recommend have an excellent track record for taking
great care of their clients.
When it comes to hiring a photographer, you want to check
that the photo samples you are seeing in their studio
were actually created by the photographer who will show
up on your day. If the contract is with the "Studio"
as opposed to with the photographer who will be photographing
your wedding, the studio can legally send anyone to cover
your event. I advise that you make sure that you are getting
the photographer you want, and have their name put into
the contract.
I
have several more secrets that are yours when you hire
me to take care of your wedding. If you are hiring me
from out-of-state, I will send you my "e-book"
of Helpful Hints. Among the many topics covered are:
Hair-
especially if it has been color enhanced
Make-up-
good ways to manage a shiny face
Shoes-
Ways to keep your feet comfortable throughout your day
The
Importance of Timeliness
Floral
Tips- on your bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres
I
also talk about how to best to plan a guys' or a ladies'
night out; how to deal with less-than-perfect weather,
and how to create a realistic idea of your wedding day
timeline.
If
I am not taking care of your photography, you can still
get the benefit of my expertise. I am now offering Bridal
Consultation services.
